Disney Cruise Vacations: No Mickey Mouse Deal
By Michael Moody

A Disney cruise vacation has something special for every member of the family.  Disney combines elegance and kid friendly, all into one great vacation.  A Disney cruise vacation is a magical experience that will not be quickly forgotten.

Currently, Disney Cruise Lines have two ships, the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder.  Each of the ships has a 2,400-passenger capacity.  Although both ships have the same basic themes, each has their own distinctive characteristics, too.  There are three pools located on the ship, each with its own purpose.  There is a pool for those with families, one for small children and even one for adults only.

A Disney cruise vacation caters to children of all ages. The cruise line offers programs and excursions that are geared towards young children of all ages. You can feel safe letting young children attend activities, knowing trained youth counselors run them.

Traveling with children is no easy task.  However, with a Disney cruise vacation, rest assured everyone will have a great time.  If you are traveling with an infant, there is Flounders Reef Nursery.  Parents can drop off their infants, up to age 3, in the nursery, so they can enjoy some adult time.  Parents can schedule the service in the mornings and evenings and will be charged .00 per hour.

Disney cruise lines have devoted nearly an entire deck to programs for children ages 3-7. The programs are all supervised.  They include arts and crafts, games, dancing and so much more.  Children will love showing off their independence while having a great time.

The Oceaneer Lab houses programs for children a bit older.  Children, ages 8-12, will enjoy their own set of supervised programs.  They include treasure hunts through out the entire ship, science experiments and interactive games.

Teens are not forgotten on a Disney cruise vacation either.  Teens, ages 13-17, will enjoy their own private lounge geared towards them.  The lounge is fully equipped with couches, and a wide variety of video games, MP3 listening stations, board games and much more.

To make the Disney cruise vacation truly enjoyable, there are even Broadway style shows that include the famous Disney characters.  Also, throughout the ship, there are character appearances and great photo opportunities. You just never know who you will run into just around the corner, so you need to have your camera ready at all times.

While Disney has thought of just about everything, one thing you will not find on a Disney cruise ship is gambling.  There are no casinos on either of the ships.  Since the cruise is family oriented, Disney decided to leave the gambling to other cruise lines.

So, no matter how many kids or what their ages are, a Disney cruise vacation is the perfect way to go.  With all the programs the cruise lines has to offer, everyone is sure to walk away happy.
